Softball with the Superintendent 2018

The North East Educational Foundation’s (NEEF) 2018 Softball with the Superintendent was a big hit! Going on third year, the community event at the new North East Sports Park features a fun-filled softball game, along with plenty of food, and activities. The friendly competition featuring North East ISD leadership against six local organizations who purchased a place in the game as an auction item at the NEEF Gala last February.

North East ISD band students, school mascots and spirit groups chimed in by adding a wonderful pep rally atmosphere.

The top fundraising campuses from March’s Big Give were recognized after the second inning. Representatives from DATA Middle School, Stone Oak and Huebner elementary schools were thanked helping NEEF raise over $37,000.

Players shared big laughs and good times in the balmy Texas weather. Business partners, community members and NEISD leadership had a great time playing softball together and the entire NEISD family left with a feeling of accomplishment.

A special thank you goes out to: Pfluger Architects, who contributed enough support to fill an entire team! Other players were sponsored by MTR Engineers whose contributions to the foundation supported 3 positions on the team, Alpha Consulting Engineers contributions to the foundation supported 3 positions on the team, MEP Engineering contributions supported 2 positions on the team, Skanska contributions to the foundation supported 2 positions as well as O’Connell Robertson who supported 2 positions.
