NEISD educators receive sweet treats

Dec 11, 2020 | News

Without missing a beat, North East ISD educators continue to rise and meet the challenges that come along with teaching during a global pandemic.

As a token of appreciation, NEISD Superintendent Dr. Sean Maika and Associate Superintendent of Operations Ron Clary set out to every campus with trays of cookies.

“Our staff is what makes NEISD great. This small gesture, along with the one percent supplement, are just two ways to show our appreciation for all they are doing during this time,” Dr. Maika said.

At Eisenhower Middle School, Principal John Smith was on hand to receive the sweet treats.

“With COVID protocols and everything going on, it sure is nice to see executive staff going out to visit the campuses and it means a lot for the individual teachers to actually see them,” Smith said. “Even the smallest things nowadays sincerely help the teachers and boosts their morale, we really appreciate it.”

Hellas Construction and the North East Educational Foundation proudly sponsored the cookies.
