Last Friday, Kathy Kersten of Kersten Consulting, LLC led a highly successful Strategic Board Retreat at the cutting-edge NEISD magnet school, the Institute for CyberSecurity & Innovation (iCSI). NEEF’s generous contribution of $150K has established state-of-the-art classrooms. Our visit included a captivating tour of the magnet school by the teacher Josh Beck and a high school student who is already certified in Cybersecurity and earning $45/hour in a part-time job.
For the strategic planning retreat, we delved into how we can supercharge NEEF’s mission, fueled by insights from a CliftonStrengths © survey and probing discussions about “Why we support NEEF.” Furthermore, the comprehensive SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis we conducted has significantly influenced this year’s strategic plan. With a renewed focus on becoming a powerhouse fundraising organization, NEEF is well-positioned to enhance its support for NEISD teachers and students, thereby paving the way for a brighter future for all.
