Golf teams were greeted by NEISD cheerleaders at the Quarry Golf Club. They were then served a made-from-scratch breakfast donated by Maple Street Biscuit Company and coffee provided by Community Coffee. Before hitting the links, they witnessed a presentation of the colors by MacArthur’s JROTC. This year’s tournament was particularly memorable, with the participation of student golfers from Churchill High School and a delicious barbecue lunch by Madison High School’s BBQ team, the Cowboy Smokers.
Though no one won the hole-in-one prizes, including a two-year lease on a Mustang, the top teams and players DID win a few prizes.
– 1st place: O’Connell Robertson, awarded a 4-some package at TPC Golf Course
– 2nd place: Golfers from Jordan Ford, Cisco and 4M Realty Co, received a 4-some package at Hyatt Hill Country Resort’s Golf Course
– 3rd place: Frost Bank earned a package at The Quarry Golf Course
Bradley Gilbert was the closest to the pin and won a $75 Visa gift card, while Travis McIntyre was the longest-drive winner and received a $75 Visa gift card.
NEEF Golf Chair Danny Smith expressed his appreciation, highlighting how the grants provide teachers with additional resources to enhance students’ classroom experiences.
