NEISD and the North East Educational Foundation (NEEF) kicked off Fiesta with a festive celebration to thank NEEF’s top donors. Dr. Maika, NEISD Superintendent, and NEEF’s Executive Director, Katherine Sanchez-Rocha, were on hand to greet the guests with a night of light hors d’ouvres and entertainment provided by the talented LEE High School Mariachi Unido Ensemble and the adorable Steubing Ranch Elementary School’s Folklorico Club dancers.

While mingling, Melynne Wulff of Terracon mentioned, “We have been a part of NEEF for over 15 years.” In the past, Melynne, along with Terracon’s architects and engineers had a blast going to NEISD schools and awarding teachers NEEF grant checks. “We appreciate all they do.”

Christina Davis of RVK Architecture is a product of NEISD, and her children attend Churchill High School. “Bettering Education is always great.” The grants help teachers go forward with the “ideas and initiatives that they want to try with the students and helping them advance.”

“Our Foundation’s donors are essential to securing and growing educational programs throughout NEISD. When you make a gift to the NEEF, you help fund classroom curriculum development, technology, instructional tools, and new resources to advance our students’ educational experience,” said Executive Director Katherine Sanchez-Rocha.
