Flipping Pages to a Future Career: The Impact of Sunni Crumrine

Jan 28, 2025 | Grants, Our Stories

Royal Ridge Elementary School is more than just a place of learning; it’s a launching pad for dreams. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of their librarian, Sunni Crumrine, students are exploring a world of possibilities through books. With a recent $4K grant, Sunni has curated a collection of books that offer glimpses into various careers and fields of study. By allowing students to explore these options independently, she fosters curiosity and empowers them to envision their futures.

Student Ruth Long has already set her sights on becoming a teacher. She loves the idea of sharing her knowledge and inspiring others. The library’s resources have allowed her to visualize what that might look like and explore other potential paths.

Raciel Colunga was drawn to the firefighting profession after discovering a book on the subject. The excitement of saving lives and operating a renowned fire truck captured his imagination.

It’s heartwarming to see young students interested in careers that benefit their communities. With a library full of resources and guidance, they have the tools to explore their passions and make informed decisions about their future.
